Arkansas United Methodists should adjust their worship and in-person gathering guidelines according to the rate of covid-19 infections in their county, a recent news release announced.

Bishop Gary Mueller of the Church's Arkansas Conference said in a recent webinar that Methodists can use a tool available on the conference's website to help congregations decide whether to hold in-person gatherings or worship online.

The tool gives county-by-county recommendations on worship restrictions based on the number of covid-19 cases per 100,000 residents in a county, and by the rate of positive test results from those tested in that county, the release stated.

Recommendations are based on data from the website CovidActNow.org, and the tool is available at arumc.org/covid19/dashboard.
