NWA's Startup Junkie joins venture in Oklahoma

Fayetteville's Startup Junkie is teaming up with the Tahlequah Regional Development Authority to study the entrepreneurial environment in Tahlequah, Okla., and the surrounding county.

The partnership includes planning to build and maintain a small business community in northeast Oklahoma, according to a Tuesday news release. The effort will include the city of Tahlequah to support existing and create new small businesses over the next decade.

The project began this month and will go through May. It will be headed by Martha Londagin, Startup Junkie Foundation executive consultant. She lives in Delaware County, Okla.

"[The Tahlequah Regional Development Authority] is excited to create a partnership with the City of Tahlequah, Startup Junkie Foundation, the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Tahlequah Regional Development Authority to make sure every opportunity to support the businesses and individuals that make up our amazing region," Nathan Reed, president of the Tahlequah Regional Development Authority said in a statement.
