Tuesday’s game between Northwest Arkansas and Frisco was postponed to allow additional Covid-19 testing and contract tracing of members of the Texas Rangers organization.

The game was supposed to be the opener of a six-game set at Arvest Ballpark against Frisco, which leads the Double-A Central South Division by nine games over second-place Midland. The RoughRiders have a league-best record of 50-34. Today’s game is still on and set for a 7:05 p.m. start. A make-up date for Tuesday’s game has not yet been announced.

Naturals general manager Justin Cole had no comment on the matter.

Northwest Arkansas (44-40) is five games behind Wichita, the North Division leaders. Naturals catcher MJ Melendez was promoted to Triple-A Omaha on Monday after tearing up the league to the tune of a league-best 28 home runs and 65 RBIs. He was also recently honored as the Double-A Central Player of the Month for July.

All tickets from Tuesday’s game are eligible, per the Naturals’ official exchange policy, to be exchanged in-person at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office for a ticket of equal value, based on availability, to any future regular season home game this season. All exchanges need to be done in-person during normal operating hours. The Arvest Ballpark Ticket Office opens at 12 p.m. on game days and stays open throughout the game and it is open from noon until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, on non-game days.
