GREENBRIER -- The Pioneers (1-0) fended off the Panthers (1-1) to earn their first victory.
Batesville scored four touchdowns in the first half to open a big lead.
In the first quarter, Justin Lewallen returned a fumble 24 yards for a touchdown, and Eli Livingston ran 4 yards for a touchdown.
Taylor Daugherty ran 14 yards for a score, and Livingston threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Will Storlie in the second quarter to give Batesville a 28-0 advantage.
It was 28-7 at halftime after Greenbrier scored late in the second quarter.
Batesville mustered a field goal in the second half, a 36-yarder from Alejandro Medina, who also successfully kicked all four extra points.
Greenbrier scored a touchdown late in the third quarter and another in the fourth to set the final margin.
