First Community Bank announced the addition of five new members to its mortgage team in Jonesboro: Katie Ingram, Courtney Young, Jennifer Harris, Denise Klingensmith and Amber Agee. Other current members are Karagon Prestidge and Jelena Veteto.

Arvest Bank in Jonesboro has hired David Martin as trust officer for the bank's Northeast Arkansas market.

BUSINESS

CJRW has recently elevated Sarah Van Doorn to the position of media planner/buyer, and Brooke Bates has received a promotion to travel and tourism account executive.

Tyler Wilson has been named senior vice-president for Arkansas-based Delta Solar. He will also be an equity investor and will serve on the company's board of directors.

GOVERNMENT

John Stewart has accepted the role of Arkansas State Parks Region 3 supervisor to oversee the operations and management of 13 parks in eastern Arkansas.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Obadiah M. Njue, PhD., has been named Extension administrator/assistant dean for extension and outreach in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

MEDICINE

Dr. Rodney Davis, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Urology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, has received the Headstream Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Arkansas Urologic Society.

CHI St. Vincent physician Dr. Joseph Beck, II, M.D., has been honored with the Pulaski County Medical Society's 2020 President's Award for a Lifetime of Outstanding Contributions to Medicine.
