LOWELL, Ark. -- J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. on Friday reported third-quarter net income of $125.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Lowell, Arkansas-based company said it had profit of $1.18.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.26 per share.
The trucking and logistics company posted revenue of $2.47 billion in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.35 billion.
JB Hunt shares have climbed 21% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 27% in the last 12 months.
