State capitol to reopen next week

The state capitol building in Little Rock will reopen to the public June 1, a news release from Secretary of State John Thurston announced Wednesday.

Visitors "will be questioned in accordance with Arkansas Department of Health guidelines upon entry and are encouraged to practice social distancing," according to the release.

The building will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed on weekends.

Services will be limited as scheduled events and guided tours will not take place. Cafes and gift shops will remain closed, according to the release.
