Washington County

First United Methodist Church in Springdale, 206 W. Johnson Ave., is offering free community meals through its Daily Bread program. The meals will be served via drive-through from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. Those in need of a hot lunch may simply drive under the portico that faces Shiloh Street.

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, continues to livestream Sunday morning services at 10:30 a.m. on YouTube or on the web site: At 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, weekly Zoom Discipleship Classes continue for adults and for the FPC Kids B.L.A.S.T. program. Both are available to all on the website.

As church leaders work on a plan to re-open for live worship, they are pleased to announce a series of Sunday evening prayer services for in-person worship. These services, called "Summer Evening Vespers," will begin at 6:30 p.m. June 14 on the south lawn of the FPC Campus. They will offer a socially distanced but in-person evening opportunity to sing live music, pray together, hear a meditative word, and find time to rest in the presence of God and one another.

FPC Springdale and Ferncliff Summer Camp are joining forces to provide an at-home Camp-in-a-Box experience this summer. Camp-in-a-Box is designed with the elementary camper in mind, grades K through fifth or sixth. Each box provides five days' worth of activities that are screen-free, encourage outdoor activity and minimize demands on parents. Camp will be June 15-19.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, 224 N. East Ave., invites parishioners and others in need to pick up community meals Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. outside the Welcome Center. Needle and condom distribution is also available. To volunteer, email [email protected] Shelf-stable food items, hygiene items and household products can be dropped off at the Little Free Pantry (outside the Welcome Center, next to parking lot) 24 hours a day.

Benton County

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., has resumed church services at 8:30 a.m. for the traditional service and at 10:45 a.m. for the blended service. Both services are maintaining social distancing. There is no Sunday school or Bible study classes at this time.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open on Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon. This is a "drive-by" service only.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., is conducting a food drive for canned goods and staples for Care & Share of Gravette for the next couple of months. A container is located in the church office lobby for dropping off your food items. The office is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Also, remember that since kids are out of school, kid-friendly food items are in great need. These include juices, fruit snacks, canned fruits, cereals and other snacks and food items that kids can prepare for themselves.

Financial donations will also be accepted. Please put "GRAVETTE" on the memo line of your check so that it will go to this designated mission. Thank you for your continued support for Care & Share and the Missions Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista.

During this time of social-distancing, our weekly worship service is being recorded and posted to our website ( under the "worship" tab. Elise Cowan is recorded at her home each Sunday and can be viewed at 10:30 a.m. (and afterward) at Unity Church of the Ozarks on Facebook.
