FAYETTEVILLE -- Rogers Water Utilities has temporarily halted water service disconnections in response to covid-19, according to a news release from the city.

Service has been reinstated to customers who were late paying their bill, according to the release.

"Utility customers should continue to pay their bill for water, sewer, and trash services as the customer will be responsible for any charges and usage during this moratorium," according to the news release. "If a Rogers Water Utilities customer is unable to make payment, we ask they contact our Customer Service immediately to set up payment options."

The Rogers Water Utilities lobby is closed, but its drive through is open. Rogers Water Utilities recommends making payments by mail, phone, online or by leaving payments at its onsite drop box, according to the news release.

Rogers customers may donate to other customers to help pay their bills through a program called Help to Others, according to the news release. Customers interested in participating in the program may call 479-621-1142.
