Hot tip: Assistance available to pay summer energy bills

The Central Arkansas Development Council has announced that the 2020 Summer Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program will begin this week and continue as long as funds are available.

The utility assistance program helps low-income families who are struggling to pay home energy bills.

The program operates in these counties: Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Lonoke, Miller, Montgomery, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Pulaski, Saline, Sevier and Union.
