Maintenance on a bridge on Arkansas 318 near the Phillips County town of Oneida will require a road closure and a detour for a week starting Monday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
Crews will close the section of Arkansas 318 beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. The closure will remain in place until the work is complete, but local traffic will be allowed except for where the bridge crosses over Beaver Bayou Ditch.
Vehicles on Arkansas 85 will be detoured to Arkansas 44 at Lake View and then northeast to Arkansas 318. Through traffic from Helena-West Helena will use Arkansas 44 to Arkansas 85 at Lake View and then travel north on Arkansas 85 until reaching Arkansas 318.
The work, which is estimated to take a week, focuses on repairing damage to the timber substructure, the department said.
Traffic will be controlled with advanced warning signs, cones, barricades, and message boards.
