NLR man charged in home burglaries
North Little Rock police on Monday arrested 43-year-old Roderick Benard Allen on two felony counts of burglary after officers responded to two home burglaries within 10 minutes of each another, according to an arrest report.
Allen, of North Little Rock, was found inside the second house and matched a description from the first caller, according to police.
Although Allen told police that he knew the owners of both homes despite having kicked in their doors, the owners of both homes denied knowing him, according to the arrest report.
Allen was arrested at 1407 Vine St. and transported to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained on Monday evening with no bail set.
LR man in custody on gaming charges
Little Rock police on Monday arrested a 63-year-old man after warrants were issued on one felony count of keeping a gambling house and 12 misdemeanor counts of keeping a gaming device.
The arrest warrants were issued for Riad Mustafa Olwan of Little Rock on June 25, according to an arrest report.
Olwan was transported to the Pulaski County jail, where he remaining as of Monday evening with no bail set, according to an online roster of inmates.
Woman arrested outside store in LR
Little Rock police on Monday morning arrested 40-year-old Louisa Cagle of Hot Springs on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of an instrument of crime after she was seen yelling outside a Dollar Tree store on East Roosevelt Road, according to an arrest report.
Cagle could be heard yelling that the store had her Visa card and her winning lottery ticket, police said. According to the arrest report, Cagle told police that she was the pope's daughter, the president and Jesus Christ. Police also said she did not know Monday's date or that Donald Trump is the president.
It's unclear based on the arrest report what kind of instrument of crime Cagle is accused of having in her possession.
