Ball-field repairs on council agenda

The North Little Rock City Council is to discuss Monday whether to enter into a contract with Mid-America Sports Construction to repair flood damage at Dickey-Stephens Park. The ballpark is the home field for the Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball team.

Officials will determine whether to amend the city's fiscal 2020 budget to appropriate $375,709 from the general fund into the Federal Emergency Management Agency flood account. If the proposal is approved, the money will be used to enter into a contract with Mid-America Sports Construction to repair the May and June flood damage. That damage included sinkholes forming on the ball field.
