My favorite space is: My living room
Why? I love collecting interesting items and surrounding myself with them. My living room is my favorite space because it holds so many treasures that I have found while "thrifting" at various locations around Central Arkansas. When my friends visit, they can't believe that just about everything I have furnished my home with is secondhand, but I love the idea of repurposing instead of buying new and, in turn, saving waste from ending up in landfills. Little Rock area thrift stores have never disappointed me. From my $35 leather couch to the vintage land surveyor's tripod I converted into a floor lamp, I just needed a little imagination and some patience to find the right pieces for my home. Midtown Vintage Market in Little Rock has been one of my favorite places to shop for some 10 years as a buyer and, for the last year, as a tenant.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Paint. All you creative types that rent instead of own, know what I mean.
