• Holding of farm implement schools in all parts of the state is urged in a letter sent yesterday by the Arkansas Profitable Farming Bureau of the Little Rock Board of Commerce to state agents for all the various makes of implements. The letter argues that the work of the farm implement and tractor school conducted in Little Rock last week should be clinched by follow-up schools in every important town in Arkansas. It is suggested that implement dealers in each town should secure the use of a field close to the town and then conduct a two days' school and demonstration.

• The Little Rock School District lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in reimbursements from neighboring school districts and the state by overestimating enrollment in its six original magnet schools four of the last five years. On Thursday, the federal Office of Desegregation Monitoring pointed out that problem to U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright in documents accompanying the six magnet schools' proposed 1994-95 budget. Beginning with the 1989-90 school year, the Little Rock district developed magnet school budget proposals based on projected enrollments that exceeded actual enrollments by up to 366 students.
