SPRINGDALE -- Two juveniles have been charged as adults in connection with a shooting last month at the intersection of Wagon Wheel Road and Silent Grove Road.

Torreman Berylnn Ria, 17 and Kobok Latior, 17, were charged Monday with committing a terroristic act.

The pair are accused of shooting at a vehicle occupied by another person, according to court documents.

According to a release from Springdale's Police Department, a 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with terroristic act, a class B felony. A 17-year-old female was arrested in connection with accomplice to terroristic act, also a class B felony. The charges will be handled by the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, according to police.

Police said the shooting was reported at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 25 by a motorist. The man told police he was stopped at the intersection of Wagon Wheel Road and Silent Grove Road, waiting to turn right, when the driver of a silver Kia Sorento pulled up beside him and a passenger fired several shots toward him.

The man told police he didn't know why the person fired at him, but investigators learned the man and the passenger in the Sorento had been involved in a disturbance at another location and had been chasing each other in cars.

They stopped at the intersection where the passenger in the Sorento fired at least two shots at the other vehicle.

The Sorento left the intersection going west on Wagon Wheel Road toward Interstate 49, according to police. There were four males and one female in the Sorento. Officers were unable to find the Sorento after the shooting.

The shooting happened in the Benton County portion of Springdale.
