2 students graduate from college

Keagan Baker of Warren and Tamatha Whitaker of Eudora graduated in December from Hinds Community College at Raymond, Miss. They were among more than 1,300 to graduate, according to a news release.

Honor roll includes area-students

The University of Mississippi at Oxford recently announced its fall 2020 chancellor's honor roll, including southeast Arkansas residents. Recipients must earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00, according to the news release.

Area honorees and their hometowns include: Sean Cunningham and Rachel Elizabeth Daniels, both of DeWitt; Adam Brooks Fleming of Lake Village; Anna Catherine Hildebrand, Molly Marie Bohanan and Lauren Lang Hord, all of Stuttgart.

Group seeks scholarship applications

Women's Own Worth has opened the application process for the 2021 Spring Education Scholarships. The group will award 10 Arkansas students with a $1,000 scholarship.

"The 2021 Spring Education Scholarship application requirements are based on the mission of advocating, empowering and providing resources of primary care to victims of domestic violence or those who have suffered from a violent crime," according to a news release.

An applicant must be a current Arkansas resident; a domestic violence survivor or a victim of a violent crime; and enrolled in the spring semester for any four or two-year higher education school. Details: www.womensownworth.com.
