Brightwater and Airship Coffee are partnering to offer specialty coffee certification in the beverage studies at the culinary art school. The program will help meet the demand for skilled workers in the NWA coffee scene as well as train students to be competitive for jobs elsewhere.

The Northwest Arkansas Caffeine Crawl will give locals the opportunity to sample coffee shops throughout the region this weekend.

The event, planned for Saturday, offers three different routes that will give curious residents a tour of Northwest Arkansas' coffee, tea and chocolate offerings.

"In a time where there aren't many options for outings with friends, Caffeine Crawl remains a safe option," the event's website says.

Attendees will be required to wear face masks and may choose to drive or walk between stops.

Route 1 will last from 9 a.m. to noon and includes Airship Coffee, Onyx Coffee Lab at the Momentary, ​Cafe 211, Heroes Coffee Company and Kennedy Coffee Roasters.

Route 2 is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. and includes The Java Dudes Coffee, Bolder Coffee, ​Red Kite Coffee Co., Puritan Coffee & Beer and ​Savoy Tea.

Route 3 will go from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes Onyx Coffee Lab at the Momentary, Heroes Coffee Company, ​Cafe 211, Markham & Fitz Chocolate Makers and The Java Dudes Coffee.

Tickets ranging in price from $24.50 to $31.50 can be bought on the event's website.
