Pulaski County deputies arrested a sex offender accused of carrying prohibited weapons Monday night, according to an incident report.
Authorities responded to a residence near 5206 Standridge Road in the Crystal Hill area, where they found David West, 27, across the road at a church, the report said.
Since callers had said the person was armed, the deputies ordered him to get to the ground, the report said. Police found a steak knife and a padlock in two tube socks, according to the report.
Officers did not find a firearm, the report said.
West was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he is charged with misdemeanor carrying certain prohibited weapons and is on hold for parole violation.
David West is the son of Jerry West, 53, who is currently in the Pulaski County jail and is charged with murder.
