Severe storms possible in Northwest Arkansas

Storms could bring damaging winds, quarter size hail and up to four inches of rainfall in some areas of Northwest Arkansas on Thursday night, forecasters say.

The region is at marginal risk of seeing severe weather develop between 9 p.m. and midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

The region is likely to see rain later Thursday and Friday morning.

Storm winds could reach a speed of 60 miles per hour, the service said on its website.

The service predicted a high temperature of 89 degrees and a low of 69 for Thursday.
