Church notes: In-person services resume

Washington County

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, is having in-person Sunday worship services at 10:30 a.m. Staff members have been working the past several weeks to develop safety protocols and procedures, but suggest anyone who is in a high-risk group or who is uncomfortable meeting in person continue to attend via live streamed services on YouTube and through a link on the church's web site: www.fpcspringdale.org.

Pastor Kade Curry will be preaching for several Sundays based on a lectionary series of weekly passages of Scripture assigned to each Sunday and special day of the church year. They highlight the telling of the Christian story.

The first Sunday of each month, the sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated at FPC. This celebration is open to anyone in the community. This Sunday, come to the church parking lot at 100 S. Gutenhsohn for a drive-through communion.

At 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, weekly Zoom Discipleship Classes continue for adults and for the FPC Kids B.L.A.S.T. program. Both are on the website and available to all. A Presbyterian women's group meets via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. to study the scriptural passages to be used in the coming Sunday morning service.

To ensure members of the church have access to pastoral care, Pastor Curry is having outdoor office hours where he will meet with a parishioner on their front porch, in their back yard, in outdoor areas of the church, at a public or other outdoor area. Call the church to schedule an appointment.
