• The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest campus in Fayetteville announced its new family medicine resident physicians, a sports medicine fellow and internal medicine resident physicians who will begin practice in Northwest Arkansas.
The family medicine resident physicians are Jovan Baker of Orlando, Fla.; Kris De Nage of Viera, Fla.; Renee Frederick of Jacksonville, Fla.; Marvin Go of Whitestone, N.Y.; Ijanae Holman-Allgood of Niceville, Fla.; Joshua Johnson of Olathe, Kansas; Rachel Mauldin of Springdale; Jason Oum of Jacksonville, Fla.; Jacqueline Thorpy of Springdale; and A.J. Zeto of Las Vegas.
The new internal medicine resident physicians are: Raad Abbas of Warr Acres, Okla.; Mamua Andela of Olathe; Ethan Anderson of Columbia, Mo.; Sahiba Bajwa of Modesto, Calif.; Alex Belote of Springfield, Mo.; Alshaimaa Hazaa of Springdale; Dalton Hoose of Rogers; Erika Jasso of Rogers; Vivek Malhotra of Columbia, S.C.; Yash Shah of Colonia, N.J.; Punith Thogaripally of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; and Eric Peeler of Little Rock.
The new sports medicine fellow is Ryan Sorell of Concordia, Kansas.
• Karen McIntosh recently joined the board of WelcomeHealth. She is employed by Washington Regional Medical Center and will lend administrative and operational expertise as the organization evaluates policies and procedures. She earned an associate degree in nursing from Northwest Arkansas Community College in 1996; a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 2010 and a master of science in nursing from Vanderbilt School of Nursing in Nashville, Tenn., in 2013.
• Erica Rochelle has joined the board of WelcomeHealth. She is the director of Global Business Health and Wellness Accounts Receivable at Walmart. She will contribute her knowledge of health care management and compliance to WelcomeHealth. Her education includes a bachelors degree in psychology and sociology from Eureka College in Eureka, Ill.; a master's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina at Columbia and a certificate in health care compliance from the Healthcare Compliance Association and Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
