Chad Cornelius

Where I live: On a beautiful, tree-lined street in Little Rock's Governor's Mansion Historic District with my three pups -- Tucker, Atticus and Mylo -- and my daughter Brooke who is a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law.

Occupation: General Manager, CVS Health/Omnicare Long Term Care Pharmacy

My favorite space is: My yard.

Why: Built in 1918, my house features hardwood floors, two fireplaces, two dining rooms, a separate guest suite and two large sun rooms that overlook my yard. This past spring, I re-landscaped the yard using old, antique bricks I found in my backyard as the edging. Planting azaleas, loropetalums and gardenias provides an evergreen look year-round. Working in my yard is mentally and physically therapeutic to me. And the beauty of my yard provides an aesthetic, curbside appeal to my historic home. On most afternoons, you will find me blowing leaves with my backpack leaf blower, mowing the lawn or tending to my gardens.

If I could make one change to improve this space I would: Add an antique wrought iron fence around the perimeter of my lot. That would definitely finish off my garden. Stay tuned.
