LAKE DARDANELLE Largemouth bass are biting spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Jigs and Bamboozies are working around treetops and rocks. The topwater bite is starting to pick up on buzzbaits, frogs and Zara Spooks. Jerkbaits and the soft plastic jerkbaits like the Scam Shad have been working well on points. Crappie are biting jigs and minnows in the creeks. The best colors are Monkey Milk, black-chartreuse jigs and Electric Chicken. Bream are biting small jigs and crickets in creeks. Catfish are biting stink bait and cut perch.

LAKE OUACHITA Bass are biting topwater lures early, late and on cloudy days. Kentucky bass are biting finesse worms on drop-shot rigs. Walleye are fair, biting 3/4-ounce CC Spoons jigged vertically and nightcrawlers on drop-shot rigs. Stripers are live bait or big hair jigs on the east end. Bream are biting grubs and worms at 15-25 feet near brush. Crappie are biting small jigs near brush at 20-30 feet. Catfish are biting live nightcrawlers or hot dogs around brush piles.

LAKE NIMROD Bass are biting white spinnerbaits with gold blades. Bream are scattered and biting redworms or crickets. Crappie are biting carrot-colored Southern Crow and Arkansas Shad, minnows and jigs near brush piles. Catfish are biting chicken liver and worms on trotlines.
