Good fences make good neighbors ... right? Or that’s the question being asked in “Native Gardens,” a comedy opening this weekend at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville. Tania, a very pregnant Ph.D. candidate, and Pablo, her rising star attorney husband, move into a venerable D.C. neighborhood next door to Virginia and Frank, a deep-rooted couple with an impeccably trimmed backyard. At first, it's a storybook match. But when a questionable fence line puts Frank’s prize-worthy garden in jeopardy, what starts as a friendly question soon escalates hilariously into an all-out border dispute.

In this What’s Up! podcast, Features writer Lara Jo Hightower and Features Editor Becca Martin-Brown chat with Marissa Castillo, who portrays Tania, and Tanya Orellana, the scenic designer responsible for making gardens bloom inside T2.

The show runs through Oct. 31, and look for Hightower’s story Oct. 13 in What’s Up!
