CHALK TALK The Razorbacks moved up from No. 23 to 20th in this week's Associated Press women's basketball poll.

Arkansas is coming off an 88-58 win over Stony Brook on Sunday. The Razorbacks hit eight consecutive shots, including six 3-pointers late in the first half to take a 51-30 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way.

Junior Amber Ramirez poured in a game-high 26 points on 8 of 11 shooting. She also hit 6 of 9 3-pointers and hit straight threes in Arkansas' first-half scoring barrage. The Razorbacks have four players averaging in double figures led by junior Chelsea Dungee at 18 points per game.

Arkansas coach Mike Neighbors pointed out the 21 offensive rebounds by the Seawolves is something his team must reduce.

"That's gonna cost us," Neighbors said. "It could be Wednesday night when Belmont comes in here because they're even bigger. Those balls that we had our hands on that they end up with, we've got to start getting those."

Redshirt freshman Erynn Barnum tied with team honors with nine rebounds with Taylah Thomas. But Barnum's came in only 16 minutes of action.

Neighbors said senior Kiara Williams, the team's leading rebounder a year ago, could start practicing this week. She has been sidelined with a foot injury, which came in a non-basketball-related incident and has played in a game yet this season.

Makayla Daniels was also named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week on Tuesday. She averaged 20 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds in wins over Stony Brook and Oral Roberts.

Van Buren native Jamillyn Kinney has made one start for the Bruins. The sophomore scored nine points with 3 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes in Belmont's win over Central Florida but has played at all in Belmont's other three games.
