Northwest Health opens Lowell clinic

Northwest Health recently opened Northwest Family Medicine at 212 W. Monroe Ave., Suite A in Lowell.

The clinic is staffed by LeAnn Metheny, DNP, APRN, board-certified family nurse practitioner, who will offer primary care services, including minor procedures, general wellness care and chronic illness management. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She completed her doctorate of nursing practice at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

CCOA to host homebuyer class

Credit Counseling of Arkansas will conduct a homebuyer education class Dec. 7 at Arvest Bank located at 201 N.E. A St. in Bentonville. The class is free. Professionals from real estate, insurance and lending will be available to provide information and answer questions.

The class is a prerequisite to the down payment assistance programs offered through the Arkansas Development Finance Authority. Class will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 2:30 p.m. To register, call (479) 521-8877 or go online to www.ccoacares.com.

CCOA also offers an online homebuyer education class in English and Spanish that is available to take at any time. To register for the online class, visit the website at www.ccoacares.com. There is a $99 fee for the online class.
