Walmart Inc. will release its first-quarter financial results before the stock markets open today. The news release, presentation and management commentary will be available online at 6 a.m.
A live conference call with investors will begin at 7:30 a.m. Walmart Chief Financial Officer Brett Biggs, along with Greg Foran, the chief executive officer of Walmart U.S., and Marc Lore, chief executive of Walmart e-commerce U.S., will discuss the Bentonville retailer's performance in the quarter.
The call will be webcast live and can be accessed by logging on to corporate.walmart.com/newsroom/financial-events and selecting the First-Quarter Earnings Conference Call event. Afterward, the archived webcast will be made available beginning around noon, according to a Walmart news release.
Analysts on average expect the Bentonville retailer to report earnings of $1.02 per share on revenue of $125 billion, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters. Walmart shares have traded between $81.78 and $106.21 on the New York Stock Exchange in the past year.
