Breast cancer center to open

Statewide cancer care network CARTI has announced a new breast care center set to open in Little Rock in June.

The facility will offer a range of services including mammograms, genetic testing, biopsies, treatment of benign breast disease, and detection and treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Stacy Smith-Foley will lead the center

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer for Arkansas women. American Cancer Society estimates suggest the disease will kill more than 400 in the state this year.
