FAYETTEVILLE -- A Washington County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Arkansas 12 east of Rogers.
Kelly Cantrell, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office, said the deputy was driving his work vehicle east on Arkansas 12 when a car headed in the opposite direction hydroplaned on the wet pavement, went into the deputy's lane of travel and hit him head-on. The deputy was treated at Mercy Hospital in Rogers and released. The deputy wasn't identified.
According to Chief John Whisenant with the Beaver Lake Fire Department, the driver of the second car was treated at the scene but declined to be taken to a hospital.
