UPDATE:
Washington County deputy, Justin Cox was identified as the deputy injured in a wreck this morning in Benton County, according to Kelly Cantrell, public information officer for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Cox is also assistant fire marshal for Washington County.

FAYETTEVILLE -- A Washington County Sheriff's deputy was injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Arkansas 12 east of Rogers.
According to Kelly Cantrell, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office, the deputy was driving his work vehicle east on Highway 12 when a vehicle headed in the opposite direction hydroplaned, went into the deputy's lane of travel and hit him head-on. The deputy was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.
According to Chief John Whisenant with the Beaver Lake Fire Department, the driver of the second vehicle was treated at the scene but declined to be taken to a hospital.
