THE SCOOP Turner claimed his third consecutive state title this season and finished with a perfect 44-0 record. ... The senior finished with a combined record of 136-2 over his last three seasons. ... He avenged his only loss as a junior, defeating Russellville's Logan Sloss in the state finals after splitting two matches during the regular season. ... His only loss during his sophomore season came when he bumped up two weight classes and lost to Rogers Heritage's Chance McCrary, who would go on to win the large school state title at 152 pounds. ... Turner was dominant this season as only four matches went the full six minutes, and he defeated Bentonville's Connor Kneeshaw by technical fall, 17-0, in the second period in the state finals. ... He will be part of the inaugural recruiting class to wrestle at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

DID YOU KNOW Turner played the violin in the orchestra for three years before concentrating solely on wrestling his senior year. He also has a strong interest in computer programming.
