King McClard, Queen Pettey hold court before Spa City parade

HOT SPRINGS -- Scott McClard and Dona Pettey were crowned as king and queen of the First Ever 16th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17 at a pre-parade lunch hosted by Visit Hot Springs at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

McClard is a co-owner of McClard's Bar-B-Q Restaurant and Pettey owns The Ohio Club with her husband, Mike. Both are Hot Springs natives.

Before the parade, guests -- many dressed in green for the occasion -- enjoyed a buffet that included corned beef and mashed potatoes. Parade regulars -- the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders -- were introduced and mingled with the crowd and posed for pictures. Also joining in the fun were parade marshal Ralph Macchio and parade starter Stephen "tWitch" Boss and his wife, Allison Holker.

The parade marches down Bridge Street, which is only 98-feet long.
