SPRINGDALE -- A teenager died early this morning from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a Springdale Police Department news release.
A couple of juveniles took the 15-year-old boy with the gunshot wound to the Northwest Medical Center emergency room around 5:30 a.m., the release states. He died at the hospital, the release says. The Washington County Coroner's Office sent the teen's body to the Arkansas Crime Lab for an autopsy.
The juveniles who transported the 15-year-old remained at the hospital until officers arrived.
No additional information was available.
