FAYETTEVILLE -- An online encounter ended with three people arrested in connection with robbery, kidnapping and theft.

Investigators with the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Emily Bailey, Samantha Wheeler and Isaiah Arnette after being contacted Wednesday by a man who said he arranged to meet the two women for sex.

Wheeler and Bailey agreed to meet the man at a house on Cantering Way, just outside Fayetteville, according to the Sheriff's Office. When the women arrived, Arnette was with them but initially hid in the car. Arnette went into the house and hit the man repeatedly with an airsoft pistol, according to a report.

The man said all three were yelling that he would be killed if he didn't do as he was told. Arnette bound the man and he and the women stole items from the house, including the man's cellphone, according to the report.

After the three left, the man freed himself and called 911. Detectives found Bailey at the Days Inn on Shiloh Drive.

Bailey, 21, of 690 N. Betty Jo Drive, is being held in connection with being an accomplice to kidnapping and battery, robbery, residential burglary, theft of property and non-financial identify fraud.

Wheeler, 24, of 1401 N. Montview Drive, was interviewed at the Sheriff's Office and said she went to the man's house but denied anything else. She was being held in connection with robbery, residential burglary, theft, accomplice to battery and kidnapping.

Bailey and Wheeler were in the same holding cell at the jail when deputies heard "a commotion and yelling" coming from the cell, according to a report. Bailey told deputies she was sleeping and woke up to Wheeler punching and kicking her and pulling her off the bench in the cell. The women were separated and Wheeler faces an additional charge of battery.

Arnette, 25, of 1722 N. Stephens Ave., is being held in connection with robbery, residential burglary, kidnapping, theft of property and battery.
