The VIP party was held at the Marriott Hotel. Guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres while waiting for Henry to make his appearance. He graciously took photographs with each guest who wanted one.

During the banquet, at the Statehouse Convention Center, 400 high school athletes were honored for their accomplishments in 12 sports -- football, basketball, baseball, cross country, softball, swimming, golf, volleyball, tennis, track, wrestling and soccer.

Ethan-Mack Brown of Shiloh Christian School received the Hussman Community Award for community service. He racked up more than 1,000 hours of volunteerism that included a bus-stop ministry where he provided breakfast to children before school. The award is named in honor of Walter E. Hussman Jr., publisher of the Democrat-Gazette.

Jacob Tinsley of Wonderview High School received the CHI St. Vincent Health Award. Tinsley lost his left hand when he was 5 years old. Through determination, Tinsley found creative ways to pursue his dreams of playing baseball and basketball. CHI St. Vincent sponsored All-Arkansas Preps.
