One of the most celebrated musicals in theater history opened June 18 at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville as part of the revival’s national tour. Cameron Mackintosh’s re-imaginging of the classic musical based on the Victor Hugo novel ran on Broadway for two-and-a-half years before hitting the road. Now, the production is showing at the WAC through June 23, with very limited tickets remaining.
Actor Mary Kate Moore stars as Fantine, who performs the show’s iconic number “I Dreamed a Dream.” Moore stopped by the NWADG office to chat with What’s Up! associate editor Jocelyn Murphy about being part of such a storied show.
Jocelyn’s interview with Paige Smallwood, who portrays Éponine, ran in the What’s Up! section on Sunday, June 16.
