Perfect Marinade for Chicken

To use the marinade, pierce up to 4 pounds of chicken pieces all over with a fork and marinade 2 hours before cooking as desired.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup brown sugar

• 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

• 1/2 cup soy sauce

• 1/4 cup olive oil

• 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

• 2 tablespoons sesame oil

• 4 cloves garlic, chopped

• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

1. Whisk together the brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and pepper until the sugar has dissolved.

Award Winning Barbeque Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 cup ketchup

• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

• 1 cup molasses

• 2 tablespoons brown sugar

• 1/4 cup chopped onion

• 1 tablespoon garlic powder

• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

• 2 tablespoons lemon juice

• 1 (5.5 ounce) can tomato juice

• 2 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring

Directions

1. In a blender or food processor, combine the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, brown sugar, onion, garlic powder, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, tomato juice, and liquid smoke flavoring. Puree until smooth, and transfer to a saucepan.

2. Place saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 1 hour, or to desired thickness.

Johnny's Spice Rub

Sprinkle or rub onto ribs, tri-tips, steaks, chicken or whatever meat you desire. Let rubbed meat sit at least an hour before cooking.

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon garlic powder

• 2 tablespoons ground black pepper

• 1 tablespoon salt

• 1 tablespoon mustard powder

• 1 tablespoon chili powder

• 1 tablespoon ground cumin

• 1 tablespoon brown sugar

• 4 tablespoons ground paprika

• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

1. In a small, nonporous bowl, combine the garlic powder, ground black pepper, salt, mustard powder, chili powder, cumin, brown sugar, paprika and oregano. Mix well and apply to meat.
