1 man dead, 1 man hurt following Little Rock shooting

LITTLE ROCK -- Police in Little Rock say one man is dead and another injured following gunfire in the central part of the city.

Police Department spokesman Eric Barnes says more than 10 gunshots were fired at 9:27 p.m. Saturday moments before numerous 911 callers began reporting the gunfire to dispatchers.

Barnes says officers found a pickup truck near two men who had been shot. A third man who was standing near the pickup was taken to the detective's office for questioning.

Authorities say both of the wounded men were taken to a local hospital where one died. They were not identified.

Barnes says witnesses reported that there was an argument prior to the shooting, but whether the two men shot each other or were shot by someone else was not immediately known.
