MAKING A DIFFERENCE

AT&T employees answer call to help feed hungry

AT&T Arkansas employees gathered June 24 for a fair in front of the company's west Little Rock location.

The fair was in celebration of Believe Arkansas, a $100,000 commitment by AT&T-related entities to combat hunger in the state. At the fair, employees were given "patrol packs" filled with information on how to get involved with the company's community partners. Several nonprofit organizations -- including the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance -- had booths at the fair.

The AT&T Foundation has committed $50,000 to the alliance, while AT&T itself has committed $20,000 to the alliance to help food pantries during flood disaster recovery and $10,000 to the alliance for its Serving Up Solutions fundraiser.

AT&T also is providing $11,500 divided among five food banks in Benton County, Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Mountain Home and Texarkana.
