BENTONVILLE -- A volunteer youth pastor was arrested Monday in connection with sexually assaulting a church member.
Derek L. Smittle, 30, of Centerton is suspected of having sexual relations with a minor female in Bentonville, according to a press release from the Bentonville Police Department.
Smittle was arrested in connection with sexual assault. Prosecutors have not filed a formal charge against Smittle.
He posted bond after being booked into the Benton County Jail.
