Fayetteville police investigating shooting

FAYETTEVILLE -- Fayetteville police are investigating a Friday night shooting injuring a person, according to police.

Officers were called at 11:32 p.m. to the area of Evalyn Circle in reference to gunshots being heard, according to a post on the Fayetteville Police Department's Facebook page.

Officers found a gunshot victim with non-life-threatening injuries. The person was taken to a local medical facility.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. An investigation is ongoing.
