FAYETTEVILLE -- A Rogers man was sentenced to federal prison Thursday for selling methamphetamine.

Stephen Ray Wilson Jr., 39, was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release and ordered to pay a fine of $3,900 on one count of distribution of meth.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration identified Wilson as a meth distributor in Benton County during an investigation into drug trafficking in western Arkansas, according to court records.

The DEA arranged a controlled buy of methamphetamine from Wilson in January 2018.

Wilson was indicted by a federal grand jury in April and entered a guilty plea in June.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks presided over the sentencing hearing.
