FAYETTEVILLE -- Insomnia Cookies has opened on 609 W. Dickson Street.

The cookie shop is known nationally for its late night hours and delivery.

The Fayetteville location will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, according to its website.

The store will deliver from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. on weekdays and noon to 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Insomnia Cookies first announced the coming of the Fayetteville store last September on Facebook.

The store occupies a suite left by a Waffle House that closed on Nov. 11. The location is Insomnia's first in Arkansas.

Insomnia Cookies was founded by University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz in 2003, according to the company's website.

The company opened its first store in Syracuse, N.Y., in 2006 and has since opened more than 100 stores.
