My favorite space is: My art studio, where I try to paint daily and teach once a week. This is where I spend most of my time doing what I love, painting. My favorite medium is oil and I enjoy painting a variety of subjects; portraits, landscapes and still lifes in a realistic manner. The subject I find most rewarding is painting people's beloved pets. My work can be seen at my website, pbueter.wixsite.com/fineart. Not only do I enjoy painting here in my studio, which is above our garage, but I enjoy teaching here as well. I began teaching art in 2012.
Why? I have everything I need to create, paint, draw and teach. It is quiet with no distractions and plenty of room for my students. Of course, painting in a studio for hours a day can prove to be lonely, but I am blessed to have the perfect companion to keep me company, Bella, a white standard Poodle. She loves this space as much as I do, and plays with her toys for hours on end. It's a perfect spot to create and just be together.
If I could make one change to improve this pace I would: love a view.
