How about school mascots that blend into 'Bulldogs'?
I was a member of the first Woodland Jr. High student council in 1958. We were the ones who chose blue and white as Woodland's colors. Woodland blue and Ramey red combine to form Fayetteville Bulldog purple.
The mascots, Cowboys and Indians, were no big deal back in the late 1950s. Now, when it seems everyone is offended by something, I guess they have to go.
I have an idea. The Woodland mascot can be the Bulls and the Ramey mascot can be the Dogs. Then, when the students move up to high school, not only do the colors but also the mascots combine to become the Fayetteville Bulldogs.
