Buddhist Society schedules retreat

The Ecumenical Buddhist Society, 1516 W. Third St. in Little Rock, will host the retreat "Softening Barriers to Love: Growing Up and Waking Up Along the Zen Path" with Flint Sparks in March.

Sparks, a practicing psychotherapist and Soto Zen priest, will guide participants during the retreat, which is open to beginners and experienced Zen practitioners, and will begin with a public talk at 7 p.m. March 1; the cost is a $15-20 donation. On March 2, registration for the retreat will be from 8-9 a.m. and teachings will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a brown-bag lunch on-site. The retreat will conclude with instruction from 10 a.m. to noon on March 3.
