Wes Ashton has been named vice president of Arkansas Operations for Black Hills Energy. Ashton will be responsible for managing operations. He graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan. with a bachelor's degree in public relations/communications and political science. He received his juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kan.

Craig Cockrell, L. Kyle Heffley, Stuart P. Miller and Christoper T. Rogers of Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates and Woodyard PLLC, have been named to the Best Lawyers in America 2020 list. Miller was also named to Best Lawyers 2020 personal litigation, defendants lawyer of the year.

Robert Gaffigan has been promoted to senior vice president and manager of Arvest Bank's private banking team in Springdale. Gaffigan will be responsible for the management and development of the private banking team. He earned a degree in organizational management at John Brown University in Siloam Springs and holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, as well as life and health insurances licenses.

Lee Farmer was recently hired as the new recreation superintendent for the City of Fayetteville's Parks and Recreation Department. Farmer will oversee staff who are responsible for programs and events. Farmer received a bachelor's degree in recreation administration and a master's degree in sport and leisure service management from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. He is active in the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association and is currently the president-elect. He has certification from the National Recreation and Parks Association as a parks and recreational professional and a certified aquatics facility operator.

Dr. Katie Beal, a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology physician, recently joined Northwest Women's Specialty Group, 2900 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 240A in Bentonville. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. She is on the medical staff of Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

Dr. Amy Fry, a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology physician, recently joined Northwest Women's Specialty Group, 2900 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 240A in Bentonville. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University, Purdue University in Indianapolis. She is on the medical staff at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

Kori Kimes of Harrison has been hired as a loan officer with Stone Bank, 1302 U.S. 62 North in Harrison. Kimes earned a bachelor of science in agriculture from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
