New owners announced Friday that Willy D's Dueling Piano Bar on Dickson Street will reopen with a new name next week.

The Fayetteville venue, to be renamed The Piano Bar, will hold a grand opening at W Dickson St on Friday, August 30, according to a news release from the bar's new owners.

"Willy D's has held a special place in my heart as a performer," said Matthew Neumayer, co-owner of OKP Entertainment in the release. "OKP Entertainment wants to make sure U of A students, Razorbacks fans and visitors from across the country have the opportunity to experience the joy and exuberance this place has brought so many."

The bar is set to open its doors just days before the University of Arkansas' first football game in Fayetteville against Portland State.

A soft opening is set to take place Thursday, according to the release.

Willy D's first opened in 2002.
