Richard McGinnis has dedicated his adult life to providing the superior meats and customer service that he does today. He and a partner opened the original Country Time Meat Shoppe at 3042 N. Market Avenue in Fayetteville in the 1980s. In 1997, McGinnis took over and made it his own family business, renaming it Richard's Country Meat Market.

They have party trays and sliced meats and cheeses from their full-service deli; hot soups, wraps, and sandwiches for lunch (with breads, rolls and desserts they bake in-house); they have countless herbs, spices, and marinades, and so much more for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The shop's homemade recipes use their premium cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, veal, or specialty meats like locally raised buffalo to keep you coming back for more. Their best sellers are their seasoned burgers (including a Bison Burger) made from fresh-ground beef, and the classic bacon-wrapped tenderloin filet. "We're the only place you can get Chairman's Reserve beef in Fayetteville," says McGinnis of his top-choice and prime-rated steaks from Tyson-owned IBP.
